The DAM 10 Core is an industry standard accreditation which was developed in 2014 by IQ Equity and a leading group of DAM professionals and thought leaders. Its goal since its conception has been to assess the core functionalities necessary to carry out effective Digital Asset Management.

The DAM Playbook
To this day, 40 companies have been accredited, and in August 2024, Scaleflex officially joined the roster of 10 Core Certified DAM Vendors.
In order to pass the 10 Core Certification, an evaluation process takes place. This evaluation looks at 10 key areas and covers a total of 22 dimensions, measuring the tool’s proficiency in each of these, and distinguishing how well vendors carry out the deemed “core” DAM functions. All software that effectively passes the 10 Core certification is deemed a fit DAM system and excelling in all measured areas, which are: Ingest, Secure, Store, Render/Transform, Enrich, Relate, Process, Find, Preview and Produce/Publish. Scaleflex particularly stands out in the “Secure” category, scoring high values for accessibility and roles and permissions management, as well as the “Transform” category.
