The challenge

Managing product images created operational complexity for a team that wasn’t originally digital‑native. Merchandising collected visuals from multiple providers, then the technical team manually resized files for thumbnails, product images, and responsive variants. Magento only offered four preset formats, limiting flexibility. To improve SEO and storefront performance, the team planned two projects: migrating the media server to the cloud and optimizing on‑site images.

Manual resizing for multiple image variants
Only 4 preset Magento formats limited responsiveness
Need to boost SEO via better site performance

The solution

Chullanka implemented Cloudimage to automate image optimization across the Magento store. The integration was completed quickly with a simple guided setup, and a custom CNAME ensured a transparent rollout that preserved existing image URLs and rankings. With on‑the‑fly resizing and delivery handled by the service, the team removed manual steps and unlocked consistent, responsive imagery at scale.

Easy, ultra‑fast Magento integration (3‑click tutorial)
Effective on‑the‑fly image optimization across the shop
Custom CNAME for transparent implementation and preserved SEO

The result

After deploying Cloudimage, Google Analytics reported a 6.7% improvement in loading time-equating to 0.50 seconds faster on average. First Contentful Paint (FCP) decreased, and the store saw an increase in clicks in under a month. Together, these gains reinforced the team’s SEO objectives while simplifying day‑to‑day image operations.

6.7% faster loading time (≈0.50 s)
Lower FCP timing
Clicks increased in less than a month
